Prof. Chen is Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor and Director of Department of Cardiology, West China Hospital, Sichuan University.

He is committee member of the Youth Committee for Electrophysiology and Pacing Branch and Cardiology Branch of Chinese Medical Association, committee member of Sichuan Electrophysiology and Pacing Society. Prof. Chen is proficient in the clinical, interventional therapy and research of coronary heart disease and aortic valve disease.

Prof. Chen presided in various projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China. Among which, the project “research on early warning and individualized treatment of critical coronary heart disease” has won the second prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award in 2011.
