Yuchuan Ding M.D., Ph.D., Professor
Dr. Ding is nationally and internationally renowned as an expert in stroke therapy, traumatic brain injury and thermal injury research. Dr. Ding has mentored over 100 graduate students in the lab. He has over 300 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals and several book chapters.
He is Vice Chair for Research, Department of Neurosurgery Wayne State University School of Medicine, Director of Cerebrovascular Research, Department of Neurosurgery, Committee Membership of Resident Selection Committee and serves as Visiting Professor of Weifang Medical University and Capital University of Medical Sciences.
Dr. Ding is a member of the American Heart Association Stroke Council, the United States Society for Neuroscience, and the Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Research Council, The United Arab Emirates University Center-Based Research Grant Committee, Hong Kong Research Grant Council, Swiss National Science Foundation, International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism, National Neurotrauma Society, Plastic Surgery Research Council, American Heart Association Stroke Council, Society for Neuroscience.
He received the Honor Award of Neurosurgery, which recognizes the productive and prolife four years of dedication and excellence in research, education and scholarship, and the National Achievement Award of Science and Technology.
Dr. Ding is also Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Disease, Associate Editor-in-Chief of Brain Circulation, Associate Editor of Neurological Research.
