Nicole E. Virzi M.S., Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Candidate

University of California San Diego, San Diego, USA.

Nicole Virzi is a 5th year Ph.D. Candidate at the San Diego State University/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology (Behavioral Medicine track). Her research aims to explore the complex interplay between psychological factors—such as depression, stress, negative affect, and trauma— and critical health behaviors and outcomes— such as obesity, metabolic syndrome, eating behavior, exercise, and heart disease.

She is particularly interested in exploring these relationships within female and trauma-exposed populations. By concentrating on these relationships, her work sheds light on the unique challenges and opportunities for intervention within these vulnerable groups.
