Phillip J. Tully PhD., Senior Lecturer

Dr. Tully has a Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics. He is a postdoctoral fellow of Bordeaux University France and Freiburg University Germany and previously held consecutive fellowships for his work examining evidence-based psychological treatments for patients with cardiovascular disease.

Dr Tully is a leading clinical specialist and international expert in providing psychological care for persons with comorbid psychiatric illness and cardiovascular diseases. He is editor of the book “Cardiovascular Diseases and Depression Treatment and Prevention in Psychocardiology” and has authored over 130 peer-reviewed papers primarily on the neuropsychiatric outcomes of cardiovascular diseases including cognitive impairment, delirium, dementia, depression, anxiety, stroke, cerebral small vessel disease.

Dr. Tully’s research interests are in the field of psychiatry, cardiology, health psychology, chronic disease management, and epidemiology and have a high translational component.
