Dr. Zheng, is currently an attending psychiatrist, clinical associate professor at Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, West Virginia University, Chair of Departmental Promotion and Tenure Committee.

He is an active member of American Psychiatric Association (APA) and American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). He is a triple boarded psychiatrist, certified in General Psychiatry by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), Clinical Informatics by American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM), and Addiction Medicine by American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM).

He has been awarded many times by Department and State Hospital for excellence in teaching and research.
