Prof. Wu is Party Committee Member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Leader of Organization Department, Director of Cardiovascular Department in Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. He is also President of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Hospital, Nanchang University, Director of Cardiovascular Disease Medical Center of Jiangxi province, and Director of Cardiovascular Disease Quality Control Center of Jiangxi province.

At present, he is an expert member of Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (SCAI), Standing Committee Member of Cardiovascular Internal Medicine Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Coronary Heart Disease Expert Group Member of National Center for Cardiovascular Quality Improvement Committee.

Prof. Wu is mainly engaged in clinical and basic research of cardiovascular diseases, especially in interventional therapy of cardiovascular diseases. He serves as the editor of ESC Congress in Review Chinese Editiong, Standing Editorial Board Member (Fifth Editorial Board) of Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Research, as well as the editor of Chinese Video Journal of Cardiology, Chinese journal of Interventional Cardiology, and Chinese Journal of Heart and Heart Rhythm. He has published more than 80 medical papers in SCI and key journals.
