Seung-Hwan Lee M.D., Ph.D., Professor

Prof. Lee is a Professor of Psychiatry in Inje University College of Medicine, Vice president of Korean Academy of Anxiety and Mood and Director of Korean Society for Schizophrenia Research.

He is also a Director of Clinical Emotion and Cognition Research Laboratory (CEC Lab), a non-profit research institute established to treat various intractable mental disorders through research on emotions and cognitive function. He seeks to reveal the brain mechanisms underlying numerous neuropsychiatric disorders and find a biomarker related to those disorders.

He has proposed an innovative way of using brain wave and bio-signal in diagnosing patients with neuropsychiatric disorders as a CEO of BWAVE corporation. He is actively engaged in developing a software that can diagnose neuropsychiatric disorders by evaluating the patient’s EEG and HRV.

Prof. Lee has also contributed to the research of Clinical and neurophysiological study on Schizophrenia, Dementia and Mood-Anxiety disorders, clinical trials of antipsychotics and antidepressants, and emotion and cognitive function on Psychiatric disorder. He is currently an Editor and Reviewer of major psychiatry journals.
