Dr. Tang is Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor of Zhongda Hospital, Southeast University, Nanjing.

He serves as committee member of hypertension branch of Chinese Geriatrics Society, committee member of psycho-cardiology of cardiology branch for Chinese Medical Doctor Association, committee member of cardiology branch and deputy leader of coronalogy group for Jiangsu Medical Association.

Prof. Tang presided five projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China. And he mentored 50 postgraduates and doctoral graduates. He is also the author of over 50 SCI papers.
