Jingping Wang M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor
Dr. Jingping Wang serves as an anesthesiologist in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard Medical School (HMS). Dr. Wang obtained his MD and Ph.D. in China from Jilin University and Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). After graduation, he pursued his professional training both in China and the United States. After completing his internship and anesthesia residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2006, he joined the faculty at MGH/HMS where he provides clinical care, supervise trainees and conduct research on improving analgesic techniques to optimize short and long-term outcomes in OMF and Orthopedic surgery. He is currently an Associate Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Wang currently serves as the Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Anesthesia and Director of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at MGH.
He has over 100 peer reviewed publications and book chapters. In addition to pursuing his own research interests in perioperative management, Dr. Wang serves as a mentor to many other young investigators.
He is also engaged in many professional organizations including the Association of University Anesthesiologists (AUA), the Society of Critical Care, the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA), the Chinese American Society of Anesthesiology (CASA), and Society of Chinese American Physician Entrepreneurs (SCAPE). He is the member of both the Abstract Review Subcommittee on Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain, and the Educational Track Subcommittee on Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain at the ASA, and the member-at-Large of the Abstract Review Subcommittee at the ASRA. He is an ad hoc reviewer for several other journals in anesthesia and critical care.
