Dr. Gao is Chief Physician and Vice Director of Cardiovascular Disease Institute, Director of Biobank, Tianjin Chest Hospital, Doctoral Supervisor of Tianjin University and Tianjin Medical University. She is the author of over 90 scientific papers, including 15 SCI papers.

Dr. Gao serves as Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC), member of American Heart Association, Vice Chairman of Epidemiology Committee for Tianjin Heart Association, Vice Chairman of Basic Research Committee of cardiologists for Tianjin Medical Doctor Association and standing member of the 5 Epidemiology Committee for Tianjin Preventive Medicine Association.

Dr. Gao is also reviewer of annual meetings of American College of Cardiology, reviewer of Theranostics, Nutrients, Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine, Heart and Vessels, Angiology, Biomedical and Environmental Sciences and other SCI journals and editorial board member of Tianjin Medical Journal.

She has been long engaged in the clinic and research work of cardiovascular disease. In recent years, Dr. Gao has been a team leader, whose team is devoted to clinical research and precision medicine research on the prevention and treatment of acute myocardial infarction and venous transplantation, the intestinal flora and development and prognosis risk of acute myocardial infarction, etc.
